Erin Knable, owner of Le Pooch Luxury Pet Services in Columbus, Ohio has been a client of mine for quite some time now, and I must admit that she’s one of my favorites.  She always knows what she wants but then she’s flexible with the specifics of the final product, which usually means the lowest cost and the best results for everyone.

We originally designed her website about three years ago when her business was still in the planning stages.  Since then, she’s expanded and expanded, and now has six employees!

As you can imagine, her current business, having grown so quickly, has evolved in different ways than we imagined when we set up her original website.  So it was time to start fresh and reorganize the whole thing.

We came up with a design concept that is reminiscent of the old website (we want old customers to know they’re in the right place), but completely overhauled her navigation and page structure to fit her current list of services.

Fortunately, we were able to reuse a lot of the old content and photos, which saved a lot of time.  But we also added a lot of new pages and images as well.

As with the original website, social media (Facebook and Twitter) links are prominent on every page.

Erin’s new website is built in cross-browser compatible PHP, with javascript special effects throughout.

Aunt Jeana’s Attic is a brand new consignment shop in the Clintonville area of Columbus, Ohio.  I was delighted to help them set up a simple website that would provide the shop hours, location and information to potential customers.

I loved the co-owner Beth Mackley’s perspective on the website.  Her most important goals were to make sure that customers could easily find the information, and to make sure that they weren’t bogged down by cumbersome navigation or a too much text.  That’s perfect!  Sometimes I wish I could convince everyone to think the same way.

So together we created a simple design that would capture the spirit of her  brand without crowding out the information and was super-easy to navigate.  We used small amounts of text to convey the most-important information, with lots of supporting pictures.

The navigation bar is pinned to the top of the window, so users will never lose track of it.  No matter how far down the page they scroll, it’s always right there, easily found at the top of the window.

AuntJeanasAttic.com is custom built in search engine friendly PHP with a few javascript effects and a photo slideshow.  The code is built to gain position over time on search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Brewstone Beer Company is a new casual dining franchise coming to a location near you.

While the first locations are still under development, Brewstone asked me to build a website that would professionally represent their brand, provide basic information for potential franchisees and developers, and provide an online employment application.

Many clients ask me about online employment applications, and this is a great example of one: http://brewstonerestaurant.com/employment.php.  An application form generally takes 2-3 hours to set up, so if you’re frequently hiring, it can definitely be a cost-effective function for your company.

Dublin Physical Medicine asked me to build a website that would both highlight their Physical/Sports Medicine services and their new Botox and cosmetic injection services.

Parts of the website were already in place and portions of the design were provided, but I custom built a cohesive website that would highlight all of their diverse services, provide photos of the facility, before and after photos of cosmetic surgery, and allow users to sign up for a mailing list.

Prices Creek Veterinary Service, based in Prices Creek, Ohio, asked me to build a professional, search engine friendly website that would generate new clients.

PCV already had a logo that they wanted to use.  Based on the logo design scheme, I created a new website that highlights all of PCV’s services and makes it easy for new and existing clients to schedule an appointment online.

Columbus-based musical group Fever Fever was putting together a website for their “Arms of Love Tour.”

These creative gentlemen knew exactly what they wanted their website to look like and had already made most of the graphics, but lacked the technical know-how to get the project coded and on the internet.

Lalibela is a fantastic, authentic Ethiopian restaurant on the East Side of Columbus, Ohio.  I was excited to not only build their website, but as a bonus I got to taste many of their delicious dishes.

The purpose of the website is simple – to provide a menu, pictures and location information to potential customers.

I’ve been working with Steve and Gretel of Sunny Meadows Flower Farm, an all-natural flower and produce farm in Columbus, Ohio, for a long time.  I really appreciate their outlook and business model.

Over the years we’ve been through a coupe of adaptations of the website.  Although it highlights all of their services, this website was designed specifically to attract wedding flower customers.

Mark Pi’s Koko is the Mark Pi’s franchise inside of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  The owner asked me to create a simple, professional website primarily focused on customers residing at the hospital.

IHeartKoko.com already existed, but it lacked the clean, modern look that the owner was seeking.

The owner provided many of the graphics for the website, including the logo and the flower icons.  Working together, we were able to keep the price very low for this redesign.
