Realty Executives Central asked me to build a custom property management system that would allow their staff to easily add, remove and edit rental properties that they manage. With the design, we placed a strong emphasis on clear, usable organization of the information, lots of pictures of each property, and ease-of-use for the staff.
Search engine optimization was also a very high priority. The design is simple, but very effective and these properties will do fantastic on search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Tequila Cowboy is a restaurant and bar located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The owner of Tequila Cowboy, who resides in Central Ohio, asked me to build a website that would effectively market the unique atmosphere of his facility and incorporate an easy-to-update calendar of events.

The manageable calendar is built in PHP with a MySQL database, and features a secure login.
(Note: As of 3/20/2012, we’re still finalizing some of the social media links)

My wife and I operate The Water Cycle Project, a non-profit organization that uses Ohio bicycling events to raise money to drill wells for impoverished communities in rural India.
The website that I built for the organization allows users to register as members to sign up for long-distance bike rides and other events. Donors can also give money to the project directly on the website. The website also includes a blog.

The website was built in PHP. MySQL is used for member registration and other advanced functions. WordPress is integrated for the blog system, and PayPal Payments Standard is used to process credit card donations.
The Water Cycle Project is a 0-overhead organization. That means that 100% of donations go directly to well-drilling teams in India. The Water Cycle Project has no paid staff or other expenses, it is entirely volunteer driven.
My wife, Melissa, is an outstanding wedding and portrait photographer.
Together, we created a marketing package, including logo, business cards and more, and built her a unique, functional website to promote her wedding packages and portraits.
In addition, we also built a custom photo shopping cart where she can easily upload a client’s photos and they can order prints directly from the website.

This website is optimized for search engines like Google and Bing.
The founder of WhoReferredYou.com approached me with a unique idea. He wanted to create a listing service where users could create an account, and then for a small fee post referral offers. (You know, refer a friend to DirectTV and get $100, etc.)
I worked with him to find a solution that would fit a reasonable budget that we established.

This website allows users to create an account and then list offers, and it automatically collects their payment and updates their account using PayPal Payments Standard. The entire website was custom built in PHP.
On a limited budget, functionality, cross-browser compatibility and search engine optimization were much higher priorities for this project than a complex design scheme.
Steve Blevins asked me to create a price quoting website for his company, Priority Logistics, based in Columbus, Ohio.
InstantShippingQuote.com pulls quotes for a customer’s less-than-truckload shipping load from a dozen or more national carriers, runs the results through the website’s unique pricing formula, and then makes the best quotes available for the customer to book and ship their freight.
Users can register as members and administrators can assign custom discounts and pricing data to individuals and accounts, as well as track all of the price requests that users make throughout the site.

The automated system helps Priority Logistics attract new business and make new sales.

MPG Transportation Services asked me to build an advanced website that would pull quotes for any load from a dozen or more national trucking carriers, run those quotes through MPG’s pricing formula, and then supply the best price to the customer.

The price fetching program was custom built from scratch, as was the membership system.
In addition to the advanced custom coding, a portion of the informational website was built on top of the CMS Made Simple platform to allow the MPG staff to easily update page content. The scrolling sidebar was built in Flash.
*Please note: MPG staff currently handles ALL site maintenance, and internal links may not appear correctly in all browsers.
